The recipes in this cookbook were contributed by 39 chefs, whose restaurants support Hawaii's local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen, and participate in the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation's annual Localicious® Hawaii campaign. All the recipes incorporate at least one local product.
The cookbook teaches kids about where food comes from and includes kid-friendly recipes to connect them to the local agricultural industry. The goal of the book is to create a basic level of appreciation in our keiki for local agriculture and to learn how to cook with local ingredients all while preparing delicious and fun recipes with their families.
