About the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation

Our Mission

The Hawai‘i Agricultural Foundation’s mission is to cultivate a food-secure and resilient Hawai‘i. Founded in 2007 and renamed in 2010, HAF strengthens the future of local agriculture by connecting farmers, ranchers, students, teachers, and communities statewide.

Through community outreach that raises awareness, educational programs that inspire the next generation, and farmer assistance initiatives that provide direct support, HAF creates pathways for agriculture to thrive. By fostering collaboration, learning, and action, we work to ensure that Hawai‘i’s agricultural industry continues to grow—for our people, our islands, and generations to come.

Educational Programs

Education is at the heart of HAF’s mission to cultivate a resilient, food-secure Hawai‘i. By bringing agriculture into classrooms and creating hands-on learning experiences, HAF empowers students and teachers to see the connections between the land, the food we eat, and the careers that sustain our islands. From farm excursions and interactive workshops to innovative curriculum and entrepreneurial opportunities, our programs spark curiosity, build skills, and inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.
